It has been said, “she’s starved for affection,” or “he’s starving for success…” Does this “starving” have anything to do with food? Not necessarily. Starving comes in many forms.
When we are starving, we get desperate. It often results in striving. We go to great lengths to get “full,” possibly never reaching it. Where do you find yourself looking for fulfillment, only to be left starving? What if you could find what you’re looking for somewhere else?
“Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.” John 6:35
What if we were never “starving” or “striving” again?
The truth is, Jesus fills us. His Words are life to our bones. When we read and speak His word, peace comes. Lives are restored. There is no replacement for His love.
